Vice President Shettima Leads Sallah Homage to President Tinubu, Praises His Bold Leadership

Vice President Kashim Shettima led a high-powered delegation of Ministers and senior government officials to pay Sallah homage to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday afternoon.

The visit followed the peaceful and spiritually uplifting Eid-el-Fitr prayers earlier in the morning at the National Eid Ground along Airport Road, Abuja, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

During the visit, Vice President Shettima reflected on the significance of the occasion, emphasizing the values of faith, unity, leadership, and sacrifice. He reiterated his admiration for President Tinubu’s bold governance, describing him as a leader who has taken on challenges that previous administrations avoided.

“President Tinubu is taking bullets that many before him simply lacked the courage to face,” Shettima stated. “From confronting the deeply entrenched fuel subsidy regime to stabilizing the forex market and ensuring local government autonomy, he has chosen to rewrite history instead of sidestepping it.”

The Vice President praised Tinubu’s courageous reforms, asserting that his decisions would free future Nigerian leaders from longstanding economic and governance burdens. “That is the burden—and beauty—of true leadership. It demands sacrifice, fortitude, and a heart that beats for the people,” Shettima added.

Shettima also echoed the sentiments of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who hailed President Tinubu as the most audacious leader in Nigeria’s history—one who leads with empathy, forgiveness, and an unyielding commitment to national development.

As Nigeria celebrates Eid-el-Fitr, Shettima urged citizens to embrace the values of courage, compassion, and unity in working toward a better future.

“Eid Mubarak to all Nigerians. May the Almighty accept our prayers and grant our nation peace, progress, and prosperity,” he concluded.
