Connected Development Launches Algorithmic Insights for Development (AIDEV) Initiative

Connected Development, a leading non-profit organization, has announced the launch of its latest initiative, Algorithmic Insights for Development (AIDEV). This groundbreaking project aims to harness the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to drive development in Nigeria and across Africa.

According to Hamzat B. Lawal, Coordinator of Connected Development, “AIDEV seeks to bridge the gap between innovation and social impact. We believe that AI can be a game-changer in the development sector, and we’re excited to explore its vast potential.”

To kick-start the initiative, Connected Development hosted a media dialogue, bringing together journalists and media experts to discuss the opportunities and challenges of leveraging AI for development reporting.

The event featured a keynote presentation by renowned Media Specialist, Mr. Majeleeed Dahiru, who set the tone for the conversation with a thought-provoking address.

In addition, Connected Development unveiled a $5 million Basket Fund to support journalists in their quest to ethically harness AI, enhancing their work and amplifying development stories.
