Nigeria is set to revolutionize its agricultural practices and restore degraded lands in its most vulnerable ecological zones through a groundbreaking partnership with the United Kingdom’s Zander Corporation. This development was announced by Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, following a meeting with the biotechnology company’s management, led by Lord Raymond Benedict Asquith, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

According to Vice President Shettima, the Federal Government of Nigeria remains committed to afforestation as a key strategy for combating desertification, promoting sustainable land use and ensuring long-term agricultural productivity. He emphasized the critical intersection between innovative technology and efforts to combat desertification and drive agricultural transformation in Nigeria.

This partnership is expected to leverage Zander Corporation’s cutting-edge biotechnology to transform Nigeria’s agricultural sector, promote sustainable land use, and restore degraded lands.
