The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has cautioned Nigerians to beware of fraudulent individuals parading themselves as staff of the Corps and luring unsuspecting job seekers with fake employment promises.
In a statement issued by the Corps, FRSC expressed concern over the growing activities of scammers who extort desperate applicants with claims of helping them secure positions within the organization. According to the statement, the fraudsters even go as far as issuing forged call-up letters to training schools and the FRSC Academy in a bid to deceive and defraud their victims.
The Corps stressed that its recruitment process is completely transparent, merit-based, and strictly communicated through recognized national newspapers, television stations, and official FRSC platforms. It further emphasized that at no point were its personnel or representatives authorized to demand money or any form of gratification from applicants.
“Members of the public are strongly advised to disregard such fraudulent offers and report perpetrators to the nearest FRSC Command, law enforcement agencies, or through our official communication platforms,” the statement read.
Reassuring Nigerians of its commitment to fairness and integrity, the Corps urged applicants to remain vigilant, verify all information through its verified social media handles and official website — www.frsc.gov.ng — and resist the temptation of patronizing fraudsters.
“FRSC recruitment is free, transparent, and strictly on merit,” the Corps reiterated, warning that scammers thrive only by exploiting the desperation of job seekers.
