Energy Commission Presents Bold Budget Proposal to Drive Nigeria’s Sustainable Energy Development

The Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), Mustapha Abdullahi, has presented the commission’s budget proposal to the National Assembly. This critical session underscores the efforts to secure funding needed to advance sustainable energy development across the country.

Speaking at the event, Mustapha Abdullahi emphasized the pivotal role the Energy Commission plays as a key agency under the Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology, led by Honourable Minister Chief Uche Nnaji. He acknowledged the minister’s visionary leadership and dedication to deploying innovative solutions in addressing Nigeria’s energy challenges, aligning with the administration’s transformative agenda.

“Our budget proposal reflects a bold commitment to the national vision of building a more energy-efficient and economically resilient Nigeria. With the firm support of the National Assembly, we are resolute in our mission to revolutionize the energy sector and deliver a brighter and more sustainable future for all Nigerians,” Abdullahi stated.

The proposal highlights strategic initiatives aimed at boosting renewable energy, enhancing energy efficiency, and ensuring access to reliable and affordable energy solutions for Nigerians. It reinforces the government’s determination to tackle energy deficits and contribute to the nation’s economic growth.

The presentation sets the tone for a collaborative effort between the Energy Commission and legislative stakeholders to ensure the realization of Nigeria’s energy transformation agenda.
